Newborn Baby Love

If you’ve been following the blog for awhile now, you know that I love me some newborns! :)

I was excited for this little guy to be born since it had been awhile since I had photographed a little one. :)

A few months ago, you met his big brother. Now, it’s baby R’s debut.

Baby hands….

I just ADORE this picture of big brother gently touching baby brother’s hand. He was gentle and tender while holding his hand.

Does this scream “proud big brother” or what???

This quite possibly is one of my favorites from the session. Such a sweet face!

Little R was an active little one with lots of adorable expressions!

I love his expressions when mom interacted with him. Absolute adoration on his face!

Mommy kisses are the best at any age! :)

I love to watch fathers with their babies. The tenderness that oozes out of dad just makes me want to say “awwwww”.

Pretty in Pink | Rohr Park, Bonita

I met this pretty little lady this morning for a session at Rohr Park. The sky was gray when I dropped my kids off at school so I was worried that the gray skies would alter our plans.

Along with her smile, she brought a ray of sunshine to the park!

This little sweetheart is easy to fall in love with. Her eyes are just the sweetest and her personality is just as sweet!

And OH THAT SMILE!

She loved the grass and was at her happiest while in it (well, other than when she was in her mom’s arms!).

Speaking of in her mom’s arms…

Her mom had her in the air and once she was flying, her laughter began!

Madison is 9 Months!

Last month, our beautiful niece that we miss so much visited us here in San Diego.

It was only appropriate to take her to the beach for her 9 month pictures!

She wasn’t too sure of the sand at first…

…but started to enjoy it after she played with it a little. Doesn’t she look so comfortable at the beach? Comfortable enough for her and her folks to move to San Diego??? Right???

 

In the 3 short months since we have seen her, she has grown so much – physically and personality wise. She has started to get that deep-belly laugh that is OH SO ADORABLE!

She had never played with bubbles before so we took the bubble machine out and she was so in awe of the bubbles. I

It isn’t a Madison baby session without a new tutu to try on!

These EYES will get her ANYTHING she wants from me! Candy, yes! Shopping, yes! Move to San Diego to live with me, OH YES! :) Okay, so she likely won’t ask that last question, but an Aunt can wish.

Madison turns 6 Months!

My niece Madison turned 6 months earlier this month and I love this girl to pieces!!!

These next three are my favorite favorite favorite from her session. One look from those big, bright, blue eyes and I am mush in her hands (along with everyone else in the family)!

Tip Tuesday–Capturing A Newborn Baby

Before my niece was born, I made sure to study Your Baby in Pictures so that I would remember exactly what the “essential” shots were!

In the 0-3 months chapter, Me Ra not only discusses tips for photographing a newborn, but she also identifies some of the “must-have” images.

She suggests capturing images within the first 30 minutes of birth.

Because Madison was brought directly to the nursery, my only option was to take pictures from behind the nursery window. If you run into  this obstacle, don’t let it stop you. Just keep shooting and you can still capture special “just born” moments.

Don’t f0rget to capture an image to show just how small they are. Look how tiny her feet were compared to her daddy’s hands.

After the baby is home, don’t forget to capture the cute little traits.
