Guess Who is 8??! | Western Railway Museum Rio Vista

Twice a year I ask myself the same question – where the heck did the time go???

The boys’ birthdays sneak up on me every year and every year I piece of me is sad that they are getting older. Where are my babies?

We headed to the Western Railway Museum with baby cousin for Cody’s birthday portrait session.

We started with a train ride. The relationship between these 2 is amazing and sweet (mixed with moments of “leave me alone”. They have a true sibling relationship.

This little man has grown by leaps and bounds this past year. Moving from traditional schooling to homeschooling has made a tremendous difference in his behavior, learning and personality. He is back to his most of the time happy self and blowing me away with what he is comprehending and retaining.

This smile is contagious and can light up a room!

He has an amazing sense of humor and is a little jokester that knows how to crack us all up.

He is strong-willed, hilarious, sweet, loving, curious, handsome, confident and stubborn. ;)

This serious face appears at least once a day. I love this expression!! ;)

 

Happy of happiest of birthdays to you, my sweet Cody! We love you to infinity and beyond!

More Happiness from A to Z

When I first met this family 3 years ago, little Z was just days old and big brother was a toddler.

This is what they look like now!

And they have added another cutie, baby Z, to the family! She has the same gorgeous, big eyes that big sister Z has!

I love being able to watch kids grow up in front of my camera, but at the same time, can they please slow down? :)

Little Z has beautiful, curly, long hair. I see hair commercials in her future.

It took awhile for Baby Z to warm up in front of my camera, but when she did, she brought her A game!

There is just something super cute about two bottom baby teeth popping out like that. ;)

When you look at these next two, I know what you’ll be thinking. All together now – “awwwwwwwww”.

Happy 7th Birthday Cody | Presidio Park, San Diego

It is hard to believe my baby is turning 7 on Saturday. SEVEN! Where did the time go?

We headed out to Presidio Park on Sunday for his photo session.

Suited in his Buzz Lightyear birthday shirt, he was ready for his session!

This picture just about sums up who Cody is. That smile is a constant throughout the day and when he flashes that smile, it is hard to say no to anything he asks for!

Looking modelesque wouldn’t you say?

My boy is a ham. He loves to make people laugh and he loves the attention. Gosh I love this little dude!

Right about here he kept asking if we were done yet. This is a courtesy smile at its finest.

This is the “she isn’t stopping taking pictures, is she? I’m just not going to look at her” look.

Big brother jumped in for a picture of his brother, too.

I love that pretty much every session since the Cody was 1, I have a photo just like this – their arms around each other and Cody looking at DJ with such admiration and love.

Celebrating 2 Years With Cuteness

When I first photographed her, she was only 3 months old and this small.

Then for her 1st birthday, we celebrated with a portrait session.

Another year later and her parents came out to San Diego for a belated photo session. I am honored to be this little one’s photographer. :)

We headed out to Coronado for a session by the water.

I can always count on this cutie for a big ol’ smile!

She wasn’t too fond of the beach and wasn’t sure what to think of the sand.

A seashell did catch her eye, though!

Nothing brought smiles like running around the playground and sliding down the slide while trying to escape the goofy woman following you with a camera!

I love her thoughtful expressions!

There was one more thing that brought even bigger smiles than the playground did….

chasing “DUCKS” (or as some of us like to call them, pigeons).

Lovely Little Lady at Lindo Lake | Lindo Lake, Lakeside, CA

You know it is going to be an AWESOME session when one of the first shots you get involves a smile like this.

She is such a little ham and I LOVE her sassiness! You are going to go far in life, little lady! :)

This little sweetheart is 5 and reminds me so much of my Cody. Her smile, her full body laugh, her courtesy laugh at my not-so-funny jokes/comments and her “shhh” when I try to sing a tune. :)

She went from quiet thoughts…

…to “you can’t help but smile at her when she smiles at you” grins.

I loved that she mimicked me and was pretending to hold a camera to take my picture. :)

These next two are a couple of my favorites.

The wind wasn’t quite in our favor today, but I think the hair in her face just kind of adds to that sassy model, pouty lip look. WORK IT GIRL! :)

Beautiful Beach Day with a Beautiful Boy | Mission Bay Park

Why do I love my job?

Because I get to meet beautiful children like little B!

I met this handsome little boy and his mom at Mission Bay Park today. He took awhile to warm up to me, but once he did he was AWESOME!

He has the most amazing blue eyes I have ever seen!

OH and this sly little smile. Your heart is melting, right?
