Last week, Cody’s class went on a field trip to the Silveyville Tree Farm in Dixon. It was our first time there and it will most definitely not be the last time. The place was fully decorated and the smell of pine filled the air.
The well-organized event was presented by the Matrix Parent Network and Resource Center. It was their “Annual Happy Holidays Celebration at Silveyville Tree Farm for Children with Disabilities”.
Cody, his dad, and I enjoyed rides on the “sleigh” and hay wagon while also enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Tree Farm.
These “horses” pulled the “sleigh” – by horses I mean the automated horses that are pulling the tractor “sleigh”. It was fun and for the first time, Cody wasn’t afraid of the horses. Maybe he knew that real horses didn’t have wheels?!
The sleigh ride brought us down this path in between the Christmas tree lots. I just loved the way it looked.
The reindeer that pulled the sleigh.
Ever the music enthusiast, Cody of course found the instruments and started jamming. If I had my video camera with me I could have video taped his awesome moves!
