Wonderful Wednesday

Because I don’t have any images for Wordless Wednesday I thought I would take this installment and change it to Wonderful Wednesday.

Do you ever have those moments in your life when you know things are falling into place and you want to step back, look at your life and say “Is this really happening to me?”

That’s where I am now.

Life is good.

Ever since I made the decision to specialize in Special Needs photography, my photography business has been extremely rewarding in my life. Not only has it provided me the opportunity to meet amazing children and families, but more than anything, it gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. I can’t explain what it is, but I just feel “right”.

It is only May, but this has been an amazing business year already. I have been in discussion with a local salon/spa to do work with them. I am excited about that!

One of the things I am most excited about is that an upcoming Special Needs magazine contacted me to ask if I would be interested in working with them to provide images of Special Needs children for their articles. I have two sessions in the planning. If you have special needs children interested in “modeling” for me, let me know! They are specific summer-related sessions so please email me for details MRS@MRS-Photography.com. Who of us parents haven’t said that our children belong in magazines? This could be your chance! If not, I may have to use my own little cutie for at least one of the sessions! HEEHEE

Lastly, the most surprising opportunity for me is the opportunity to be a writer. As you can tell by my blog, I do love to write (mostly because I love to talk so they kind of go hand in hand!), but I never considered myself a writer. Yes, I have told my husband that I do want to write a book, but I have had writer’s block since even mentioning it to him so nothing has even been started.

BUT a couple of times this year, I have been asked if I would be interested in writing articles for blog posts. In high school, writing would have been the last thing I would have volunteered for. The more creative, mature (cough cough) me’s response is now, “I WOULD LOVE TO!”

Writing is something I enjoy because it allows me a different kind of freedom of expression than photography. Through photography, I can show people their beauty through other’s eyes. Through writing, I can express what my emotional wall cannot express in person. In other words, I write better than I can verbally communicate.

One of the opportunities will allow me to express myself as a parent of special needs child while the other is a topic completely foreign to me. I am excited about both.

Thank you for letting me share in my excitement with you. My head is spinning with all the goodness in my life right now.

So many things are changing in my life and they are all for the good!

Have a beautiful week everyone!! I know I am!
