My husband and I’s anniversary was on August 3rd. We normally do not celebrate this wedding anniversary since it is the anniversary of the 2nd time we got married. Our first wedding was a civil wedding on Dec 31, 2001 and the Aug 3rd wedding was our Religious wedding.
This year, my husband surprised me with a special evening planned.
I was instructed to dress nice and be prepared to eat. My 6 year old guessed that he was taking me to Applebee’s while my dad teased that my surprise was Taco Bell! =) Fortunately for me they were both wrong! =)
After a maze in a parking lot and my husband pretending not to know where to go we ended up at Fleming’s Steakhouse.
This beauty greeted me at the table – a bouquet of a dozen red roses.
I started my evening with this new concoction that the bartender came up with – a melon martini. I was his first sale for it. It was YUM!

I have a weakness for crab cakes so of course that was our appetizer.

and Porterhouse with Blue Cheese for him with a side of Chipotle Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese for us to share.
To finish off the evening we enjoyed a creme brulee and lava cake. The waiter took great pride in decorating the plate.
