Manic Monday – Glasses

After almost a year of going back and forth to the ophthalmologist, Cody had glasses prescribed to him. I was not too thrilled about it. He’s just a baby…and a mighty cute one at that!!!

I know that no matter what he will still be cute, but it doesn’t stop the fact that he is only 3 and MY baby.

I was hesitant to purchase his glasses. Matter of fact, I waited almost a week before going to get the prescription filled. The part that it would take a week for the glasses to be ready made me happy. That meant it was one week longer before he had to wear them.

Then they called 3 days later!!

My husband was excited to bring Cody to pick his glasses up so we went there right after picking Cody up from school. SIGH.

To my amazement he LOVED them….for about 5 minutes. :)

I didn’t think it was possible for my little guy to be more handsome.

We are trying to make it a positive experience for him and tell him how handsome he looks and that glasses are SO much fun to wear. His daddy wears them so we try to tell him how excited daddy is about wearing glasses. Some times it works. ;)

I know it will be a while before he gets used to them and wears them for more than 10 minutes at a time, so we just keep trying. If you have any advice, I would love to hear how you got your little one to wear their glasses more frequently.
