Tip Tuesday – It's All In the Details

Whether you are a mother or not, there are many aspects of life that change. Many details that define who you are today may not be the same details that define you 10 years from now.

Document those details. From the electronics that never leave your pocket (iPod or phone!) to the tools for your current hobby, from the legos that scatter the floor that you swear at every time you step on them to the sweet way (and the quietest) your child’s face looks when he is sleeping.

Those are the details that will change in a few years. Those are the details you will look back on and cherish.

As a scrapbooker, I am ALL about the details. Photography gives me a great tool in documenting the details of my children growing up as well as who my husband and I are today and were yesterday.

Photograph Elmo taking down Stone Cold Steve Austin in a wrestling match. (Did Stone Cold really think he was going to win against super size Elmo? LOL)

Document the toys that he cannot live without these days and the way they just “hang out” together when they aren’t being played with.

Photograph your child’s stack of current “must read” books.

Photograph the bubbles that can create endless hours of fun in the backyard. The bubbles that elicit shrieks of laughter that make your heart smile.

TipTuesday (1 of 3)

Document the glory of finally organizing your craft room the way you want it to be after a year of trying to figure it out! :) (Okay, so maybe I just wanted to show off my FINALLY organized craft room. :) )

Capture those moments that matter TODAY because these are the same details you and your children will outgrow. The same details you will miss (like the legos all over the floor or the playdoh sticking to the carpet). :)
