With help from my graphic artist brother, a new logo was born. Thanks, bro, for your help!
What do you think??? =)
I am beyond excited about the upcoming workshop I will be attending.
I first heard about Me Ra Koh a couple of years ago through my favorite San Diego photographer, Barefoot Memories, and started following her blog. I had received her awesome DVDs for parents for Christmas and that is what helped give me the confidence to start my own photography business last year.
She often holds contests and I entered her “love” one last year with this image…

….and won. =) (WOW….just realized I still can’t look at this picture without crying even though it was 3 years ago!)
She also holds workshops for women and I have been DYING to go since first hearing about them. I am beyond ecstatic that I will be attending her next workshop! It is just a few weeks away and I am very anxious about it. I have heard from a few fellow photographers that it is a powerful workshop – emotionally and photography-wise – so I cannot wait!
It will be held at the beautiful Hotel Murano and I am SUPER EXCITED about that as well!
Look how beautiful the rooms are!

They feature glass art throughout the hotel and it is like walking into a museum!

Only 14 more days to go…….
A couple of weeks ago, my baby boy turned three.
We had to cancel his birthday party to prevent him from getting sick before having his ear tube procedure done, but we had a small celebration with the local immediate family. He didn’t seem to mind not having a big party this year.
Here are some pictures from my baby boy’s 3 year old portrait session.
Our little lover boy, the cuddle bug…
He is catching bubbles in this one…
And signing for “more” here…SUCH INTENSITY! =)
CAKE TIME!
Cody was excited to be able to blow out his candle! It took a few tries but he got it!
Attempt #1
Attempt #2
Attempt #3
Attempt #4
AND HE GOT IT!
He enjoyed it so much that he asked for it to be lit again so he could blow it out 3 more times! =)
Happy birthday baby boy!

Emily had such an easy-going personality and was radiant in front of the camera.
I love how well she wears this yellow sweater! I wish I could pull off yellow and look as great as she does! =) She is perfectly SPRING!

Spring Special - $50 off Senior Portrait Session
I have said it before and I mean it wholeheartedly when I say that I LOVE my families. I love meeting new families and photographing their beautiful children.
It is always such an honor when a family allows me to help build their memories of their beautiful children.
As an avid scrapbooker and a mom who is constantly taking pictures of her own children, I love being able to help other parents preserve their children’s memories.
If you have ever wanted to have a professional portrait session for your children or family, but are worried about the stress involved with planning such a task, ask me about our sessions. Or see below what our families are saying about our portrait session.
My goal is to avoid the “stress” of taking family or child portraits. Your goal is to HAVE FUN and be yourself!
Here are what some of my recent families have said:
“My children (Evan, almost 3 and Sophia, 9 months) had never had professional pictures taken of them, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Via email and over the phone, Michelle said not to worry; but how could I not. When Michelle arrived on picture day she brought a bright smile and an easy-going, fun personality. She was wonderful with both of my children. She made baby sounds with Sophia and blew bubbles with Evan. Evan, being almost 3 gave her a bit of a challenge and she took it all in stride. She didn’t push, she didn’t make a big deal out of it – she just followed their lead and allowed them to be themselves. The session time flew by and I couldn’t wait to see the pictures. Michelle was very responsive and immediately informed me when the photos were ready for viewing. I WAS AMAZED! I couldn’t believe how many beautiful expressions/moments she had captured. I am so happy we met Michelle and look forward to using her very professional services again. Thank you, Michelle.”
